This piece was done entirely with horizontal and vertical brushstrokes.

Alberta, Canada (about 3 hours from where I live)

A couple people commented on one of my recent landscapes that they liked the way I used the horizontal and vertical brushstrokes in the sky... so I thought, "why not do a whole painting like that?" I am more than pleased with how this turned out. I have been really been trying to find a new technique for my landscapes that can allow me to be more confident in the outcome before I start. I feel like I've definitely found something here and I'm really excited to see where it goes.
